The band the Recodo of Cruz Lizarraga is a band sinaloense formed in the Recodo Sinaloa, in 1938 for Cruz Lizarraga. it devoted itselft to touch traversed and sones, but later it introduced a new style, using the bass drum as principal instrument and other more popular pieces. it has touched to side of prominent figures of the height of Jose Alfredo Jimenez and Juan Gabriel. nowadays it possesses great international recognition, coming his music to 5 continents.

In 1995, Cruz Lizarraga patient falls, which it prevents him from travelling with his band in a tour along Europe. He died on june 17 in the Mexico City, his body was moved to Mazatlan city.

In spite of the hard blow, the band was kept in foot in opposition to the general expectation, thanks to the conviction of two children of Cruz Lizarraga, German And Alfonso Lizarraga and to his wife Maria de Jesus Lizarraga, continuing with the push that always they have counted.
